Nicholas (Nick) Leonard Cotugno of Helotes, Texas passed away peacefully in his sleep, Wednesday February 1, 2023, at the age of 88. He was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Mary, his sisters Marie and Florence, his brother Anthony, his loving wife Ann of 63 years, daughter Kathy, and sister-in-law Harriet. He is survived by his children Marie, Debbie, Mike, (Roxann), and Michelle, sister Joanne, sister-in-law Loraine, 11 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren along with many more family members and friends.
Nick was born November 6, 1934, in Natick, Massachusetts. As a young adult, he served in the United States Air Force as a flight instructor based in San Antonio where he met his beloved wife. Nick then served in Civil Service at Kelly Air Force Base Security Police until he retired in 1987 as an information security manager. He spent the last 25 years working with his son in the construction industry where he left his mark on many buildings in San Antonio and surrounding areas. Nick loved bowling, fishing for catfish, large family gatherings, going to the casinos, and dancing with his beloved wife, “Baby Ann”.
The family would like to invite friends and family to Nick and Ann’s home at 10928 Parrigin Road, Helotes, Texas on Sunday, February 5th from 2-6pm for the visitation.
Funeral services will be held Monday, February 6th at 10:00am, at Our Lady Guadalupe Catholic Church, 13715 Riggs Rd. Helotes, TX 78023.
Interment will follow in San Jose Burial Park, 8235 Mission Rd., San Antonio, TX 78214
(Military Honors). A memorial reception will follow at 10928 Parrigin Road Helotes, Texas.
