Nathian (Nate) Xavier Noriega, age 42, went to be with the Lord surrounded by his family on July 4, 2023 in San Antonio, Texas. He was born on December 12, 1980 in San Antonio, Texas to Javier Noriega and Perle Reyes.
Nate is preceded in death by his grandparents: Josephine (Macita) and Fred (Papa) Noriega; Carlos and Romona Reyes.
Nate is survived by his loving wife of 12 years Jessica Noriega, and 3 sons, Ethan Xavier, Evan Ryan, and Ever Jude Noriega; father, Javier Noriega, mother, Perle Reyes, step-mother, Yolanda Noriega, mother-in-law, Tomasita Jaquez; sister, Melissa and husband Andres Perez, sister, Tuyet Noriega; brother, Joseph and wife Candy Ferdin; sister-in-law, April and husband Nathan Gonzales and 11 nephews and nieces.
Nate was a loving, caring, compassionate husband, father, brother, and son. He always looked out for others before himself. He loved spending time with his family, playing video games with his boys and nephews & nieces, building with legos, playing Scrabble with his sister, listening to & playing music, solving his numerous rubiks cubes, watching movies, watching “Judge Judy”, and working on the yard/garden. He spent time helping family members who were not electronically savvy. He was such a gifted, talented, clever, quick witted, and humble man who will be greatly missed. His faith in the Lord remained strong and his unending love & dedication to the Lord will endure through his family. Our hearts are deeply saddened by such a loss, but are at peace knowing God has restored and healed his body.
A visitation for Nate will be held Tuesday, July 18, 2023 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home, 6321 Bandera Road, San Antonio, Texas 78238. An evening service will occur Tuesday, July 18, 2023 at 7:00 PM, 6321 Bandera Road, San Antonio, TX 78238. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, July 19, 2023 at 11:00 AM at La Trinidad United Methodist Church, 300 San Fernando Street, San Antonio, TX 78207 with reception to follow.
In lieu of flowers the family would greatly appreciate donations to an educational fund setup by Southwest Research Institute (SwRI) for Nate’s 3 sons.
