Natalia "Nelly" Garcia Hernandez

Natalia “Nelly” García Hernández, entered the loving arms of Our Lord suddenly on April 15, 2024, at the age of 91 years old. Nelly was born on December 1, 1932, to Silvestra García and Estanislado Hernández in Monterrey Nuevo León.

Nelly moved to San Antonio where she resided for 50 years to pursue a career as a florist. She would never turn anyone away who would order flowers from her. Nelly’s neighbors welcomed her into their families, she was always grateful for her community. Nelly was strong-willed and stubborn at times, but she had an enormous heart.

She loved living in San Antonio but could no longer live on her own. She relocated to Colorado just a couple of years ago to be with her son Norbert and his family.

Preceded in death by her parents Silvestra García and Estanislado Hernández. Daughters Natalia (Baby Nelly) García Hernández and Norma Trinidad Méndez Hernández, Son-in-law Mario Segura Garcia, and Granddaughter Nancy Aracely Méndez Hernández.

She is survived by three children son Norberto Acuña (Terri), Daughter Juana Guadalupe Méndez Hernández, (Juan Ismael Martínez Méndez). Jose Jorge Méndez Hernández (Bertha Escalante)

Grandchildren: Noah Isaiah Acuña; Vladimir, Juan Ismael, José Ulises Martínez Méndez, Jorge Escalante, Brenda Escalante, Roberto Carlos Segura Méndez, Luz Nelly Segura Méndez

Granddaughters-in-law: Angelica Adriana Cerda Arteaga, Angélica Méndez Salazar, Monica Janeth Mesta Rodríguez

Great Grandchildren: Carlos Alejandro Segura Mesta, Jorge Francisco Segura Mesta, Alison Segura Mesta, Alison Yorleth Lopez Segura, Madison Cristel Lopez Segura, Dará Lucía Torres Segura, Adrian Vladimir Martínez Cerda, and Galia Maria Martínez Méndez .
