Nancy Ann Morris was born December 27 1947 in Grand Island Nebraska to Kenton Woodrow Morris and Vesta Lee Morris nee Scoggin. She is survived by her sister Katherine Sue Morris, two daughters: Mary Katherine Antonelli married to Gary Bernard and Alisa Marie Antonelli married to Muhannad Hassan, and three grandchildren: Robert Allen Sauter, Haitham Muhannad Hassan, and Ali Muhannad Hassan. Nancy grew up in a military family and moved around a lot as a child. This helped to foster a love for travel and exploring.
She graduated from Suitland High School in 1966 and she loved her time on the swim team. She later graduated from the University of Maryland with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. She taught school in both Key West Florida where she loved to swim in the Caribbean and scuba dive, and also in Albuquerque New Mexico where she loved to go hiking. Her time in New Mexico helped her to develop a love for the local culture and artwork.
Later in 1980 she earned an Associates Degree in Computer Science and changed careers from teaching to computer programming. Working for the defense industry, she developed further into a systems analyst and earned her MBA from Robert Morris University in Garland, Texas. She continued work as a Systems Analyst, earned more certifications to then again redefined her career in the late 1990s. She went to work in Computer Validation as an Q and A Auditor and Audit Manager for a pharmaceutical company. Monsanto, Pharmacia, Pfizer, Abbot and Baxter are some of the companies who benefited from her skill.
In 2014 she was diagnosed with and successfully beat breast cancer. She retired at that time and started travelling the USA as she had always dreamed with her childhood sweetheart. In 2017, she was diagnosed with stage 4 brain cancer and sadly lost the battle against it on Feb 15 2018.
Nancy was very artistically inclined. She loved to paint. Nancy mostly painted landscapes and florals and they displayed her great talent. She also did portrait sketches. In addition to being a skilled painter, she also sewed, wove baskets, played the piano and made homemade jewelry. She sold the jewelry on eBay and Etsy for fun. Genealogy was very important to her and it was also a fun puzzle that she spent many hours working on.
Nancy's faith was very important to her. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She participated in many activities and cherished her opportunities to complete Temple Work on a regular basis when she was not travelling. Nancy had some very special friends in her life who were like family to her: Marta and Rudy Bourgeois, Claudia Haugh and George Schriever.
