Mona Marie Archer

Mona Marie Archer, born September 24, 1923, passed away on January 17, 2018. She is survived by her 5 children, Allyn, Carolyn, Sheila, James, Doug; 3 daughter in-laws, 2 son in-laws, 13 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. Mona was born in Duncan, Oklahoma, the daughter of H.B. and Ruth Ella Carroll. She lived in many places with her parents and sister, Faye, throughout Oklahoma, Illinois and Texas following oilfield work. She ended up in the Rio Grande Valley of Texas where she met and married Lavern Archer, started her family and lived in McAllen, Texas until 1970. She lived in Alice, TX and Longview, TX before settling in San Antonio, TX in 1974, living the remainder of her life here. Mona was a great and loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She was a great homemaker, seamstress, caretaker, and was loved by all who knew her as much as she loved them. She will be dearly missed, however, we now celebrate her life here and are very excited for her Eternal life in Heaven with the Father, the Son and her many loved ones. Mona is preceded in death by her Mother, Father, Sister, Husband and Great Grandson. May God Bless them all.
