Millie is survived by her brother Robert Runtz and her sister Vera French, children; Ronald E. Rains, Gary N. Rains and wife Karen Rains, Michael E. Pichichero and Angela Pichichero, Lauren Pichichero, Frank J. Pichichero and wife Linda Pichichero, Steven R. Pichichero and Mark L. Pichichero; 18 living grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and 21 great-great-grandchildren along with many additional cherished loved ones and friends.
Millie was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on April 7, 1919. As the military wife of a decorated army veteran, she spent much time traveling the world. During the last years of her incredible life, Millie enjoyed going to the gym, watching movies on the big screen, reading newspapers and her favorite books. She closed each day with a glass of chocolate wine. Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her seven children who she adored and felt were her most significant accomplishment in life. Everyone she met was drawn to her generous soul and beautiful smile. She will be greatly missed by those who were fortunate enough to know her.
Millie is preceded in death by her loving husband Lawrence J. Pichichero, brothers Edward Runtz and Charles Runtz, daughter in laws Anne Pichichero and Bobbie Jean Rains, and granddaughter Kimberly Pichichero Martinez.
The funeral services will be held at her beloved Northrock Church, 1278 N. Loop 1604 E., San Antonio, 78232 on February 25, 2019, at 2:00pm. Burial will immediately follow the service at Sunset Funeral Home, 1701 Austin Highway, San Antonio, TX 78218.
The family of Millie wishes to extend our sincere thanks to her caregivers Deb Ramos and Jessie Kendrick for your devotion and compassionate care during her final years. She adored you both.
The family would also like to extend gratitude for all the prayers, visitors, food, flowers and continued support during her transition to the Lord.
