

Michelle Ann Specia completed her earthly journey on May 9, 2024, at the age of 33. Born on September 14, 1990, in San Antonio, Texas. Michelle's life was a testament to living a life full of love and to living life to the fullest. Michelle was a Texan -with a dash of Greek and Italian.
From a young age, Michelle was a determined spirit. She never let the norm define her. She was brazen and bold. Her quest to solve Mathematical calculations was beyond what most people contemplate. Michelle loved diving headfirst into understanding and picking apart the intangible. She was brilliant and unarrogant, a rare combination. Her fascination with Logic, Engineering and Mathematics led her to graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics.
Michelle had many adventures in her life and countless reasons to be proud of how she shaped it, but she should be most proud of her impact on the lives of so many people she reached out to help anyway she could. Michelle always made room for friends in her heart and in her home filled with laughter and smiles. She had no qualms about mixing groups and somehow was always able to be exactly what someone needed in that moment while entirely being herself. Her authenticity was her superpower- she never judged and always met people with a warm smile. If anyone was ever in need, she was always there and generous.
Her love of life, family and friends was often loud and unabashed but making everyone around her comfortable. She filled her family and friends' hearts and souls with joy. She developed a love of cooking and enjoyed having her friends over to enjoy a special meal, never letting them leave her home hungry, thinking of all the details to make the meal as close to perfection as humanly possible. Michelle's story does not end here. It continues in the hearts of everyone who knew her. Her spirit is now woven into the tapestry of the universe, a star that will forever shine bright. Michelle's journey was a masterpiece, and her life a symphony of love that will resonate for eternity. Let us celebrate the myriads of ways in which she enriched many lives. Her journey was one of purpose, kindness and unwavering belief in the goodness of people. Michelle's legacy is not measured in years, but in the countless moments of joy she shared. As challenges in life were encountered, she overcame with grace and love she spread without limit always with a smile on her face.
Michelle was preceded in death by her grandparents, Paul &Alma Rubiola, Adolph Specia Sr and Agnes Specia, Aunt Cynthia Shade (Ron), Cousin Alethea Shade, and Uncle Alan Radke. She also leaves behind her loving parents, Anna and Skip Specia, a brother whom she protected and loved fiercely, AJ Specia Ill. Aunts and Uncles Paul Rubiola, Jr, John Rubiola, Helen McKim (Steve), Theresa Stewart (Bob), Janine Radke, Barbara Moltz (Mike), Richard Specia (Carol). Her cousins, Will Radke (Mio), Matteo Radke, Devin Moltz, Charles Shade (Amy Lucas), Eliana Rose Shade, Andrinna Kane (Paul), Carlie Kane and Olivia Kane. and her two loving cats. They all filled her life with stories, wisdom and laughter - companions in her life journey. They created memories she cherished every day of her life.
The family will receive friends on Sunday May 19, 2024 from 5:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Porter Loring Mortuary, 1101 McCullough Avenue. A Rosary will be recited beginning at 6:00 p.m.
A Funeral Mass will take place on Monday, May 20, 2024, beginning at 10:30 a.m. at St. Matthew Catholic Church, 10703 Wurzbach Rd., San Antonio, Texas 78230. A procession to Holy Cross Cemetery to follow. Fr. Martin J. Leopold, officiating.
Pallbearers will be William Radke, Devin Moltz, Charles Shade, Johnny Bonner, Sunny Hernandez, Sam Ratcliff, and Andrew Paraghamian. Honarary Pallbearers: AJ Specia III, John Rubiola, Paul Rubiola, Steve McKim, Bob Stewart, Michael Moltz, Richard Specia, and Taki Constantine.
