Michael Anthony Salas

He was preceded in death by his mother Helena Pulido Salas. He is survived by his wife, Elaine Arizpe; father, Pedro Salas; children, Victoria Salas, Michael Salas, Jr., Jonah Salas, Josiah Salas, and Anthony Arizpe (Lucy); grandson, Rojelio Gomez; brother, Vincent Salas (Martha); sister, Loretta Ramirez (Joel); numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.

Michael was born to Pedro Salas and Helena Pulido Salas on April 18, 1972 in San Antonio, Texas. He grew up surrounded by love, shaping him into the compassionate and kind-hearted man he was known to be.

In 2001, he met his beloved wife Elaine, beginning their journey that lasted for 23 years. Together, they built a life filled with joy, raising their five children and grandson. His love knew no bounds and his family was his greatest treasure.

Michael worked as a Claim Specialist with United Healthcare for 19 years. He enjoyed watching the Spurs and Dallas Cowboys. He loved riding his motorcycle, listening to music, and barbecuing for his family. He was the life of every party. His presence brought warmth and light into the lives of all who knew him. His genuine kindness, infectious laughter, and unwavering love left an indelible mark on anyone he encountered.

A celebration of Michael's life will be held on Wednesday, April 10, 2024 at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home, 6321 Bandera Road, San Antonio, Texas 78238. Visitation will begin at 9:30am with a funeral service at 11:00am with Pastor Robert Ortiz officiating. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery at Cordi-Marian.
