Michael David Hacker, of Helotes, Texas, passed into eternal rest on September 4, 2014. He was born in San Antonio, Texas on July 10, 1961 to Murray J. Hacker and Sarah "Patty" Townsend Hacker, and was preceded in death by his mother. "Mike" was a retired firefighter for Leon Valley, having served for 29 years. He was a loving and giving person who was always ready to lend a helping hand. He enjoyed cooking, fishing, playing paintball, and taking care of his land, at all of which he excelled. Michael is survived by his daughter Alyssa Nicole Hacker, her fiancé Robert Salinas, and her mother Suzanne Jaimes; father Murray J. Hacker, brother Murray J. "Bubba" Hacker, Jr., sisters Cheryl Hacker Mueller and Jeanine Hacker Olvera, an uncle and aunt, nephews, cousins, and many dear friends. A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 13 at 10:00 a.m. at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home in Leon Valley.
