Michael Anthony Gutierrez

Michael "Timba" Anthony Gutierrez born on December 30, 1957 went to be with the Lord on January 8, 2020. He is preceded in death by his parents Pedro and Susie Gutierrez; his brother Albert Gutierrez and both his paternal and maternal grandparents. He is survived by his sister, Toni Rivas (Steve); his brothers, Edward Gutierrez (Ruth), Ralph Gutierrez, and Juan Gutierrez (Terri); his God-mother, Sr. Miriam Alvarado; his longtime friend, Gloria Espinosa; and various aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews. Michael was a 1976 Alumnus of Holy Cross High School and he was an avid supporter of the Holy Cross Alumni Softball tournament held annually. He was employed by the San Antonio Independent School District and he received many awards for his participation in employee leadership teams. Michael served as an advocate and mentor for youth sports. He often volunteered as a pop warner coach, as well as a coach/advisor to the Holy Cross High School football team. Michael will be dearly missed by his family and friends. A Memorial service will be on Monday January 27, 2020 at 6:00 p.m. at Trevino Funeral home 226 Cupples Rd. with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Services will conclude that evening at 9pm.
