Michael Joseph Crowley entered into eternal rest on February 1, 2022, at the age of 73. He was born on May 6, 1948, in Mobile, Alabama to Dagmar Crowley. Mike graduated from Jefferson High School in 1966. Shortly after, he began his career at the San Antonio Light Newspaper. In October 1967, he married his high school sweetheart, Patricia Jandt, and together they raised their two beloved children, Bryan and Lisa.
Mike worked 15 years at the San Antonio Light Newspaper where he started off as an elevator operator and worked his way up to journeyman. After leaving the newspaper, he started his 40-year career in transportation. Mike found joy in the simplest things. Most of all he loved spending time with his three granddaughters and enjoyed lunches with his dearest friends.
Mike spent much of his spare time enjoying his favorite hobbies. He built prostock race cars with his best friends and raced them at Alamo Dragway often. When he stopped racing, he began rebuilding classic cars and took them to many cars shows where he was always sure to bring home a top trophy.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Dagmar Crowley and son, Bryan Crowley. Mike is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Pat Crowley; daughter, Lisa Crowley Clark; granddaughter, Kara Clark; daughter-in-law, Monica Crowley; granddaughters Morgan and Shelby Crowley; brother, Wesley Crowley; nephew, Wesley Crowley II; great-nephew, Kellen Crowley; and countless friends and others who were touched by Mike throughout his lifetime. He will be missed by all.
Per Mike’s wishes no funeral will be held. Memorial donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the charity or organization of choice.
