Melanie Furnace

Melanie K. Meiske Furnace born September 7, 1958 passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Monday April 17, 2017 at the age of 58. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She will be greatly missed by everyone. She was preceded in death by her parents Wilbert “Gus” and Esther Meiske, her loving sister Cheryl Meiske Steubing. She is survived by her husband Rusty Furnace; her daughters, Pamela Wright and Fred, Denise Miller and JP; stepsons, Justin and Lori Furnace, Russell and Tonya Furnace; brothers, Doug and Jimmy Meiske; brother in law George Steubing. “Mimi” to 8 grandchildren, Audrie and Will Miller, Asa Wright, Conrad, Cameron, Cooper, Raegan and Bailey Furnace. She also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, many close friends and her dog Gus. A visitation will be held Friday, April 21, 2017 from 9:00- 10:00 AM with a funeral service immediately following at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home, 6321 Bandera Rd. Burial will follow at Dilley Memorial Cemetery in Dilley, TX at 1:00 PM. In lieu of flowers please make donations in Melanie's honor to the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation.
