Mary R. Vasquez

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Fred B. Vasquez; her son, Fred Vasquez Jr.; her three brothers; and her four sisters.

Mary leaves her memory to her children, Mary Lou Vasquez, Dolores V. Maldonado (Raul), Janie Ruiz, Dorothy Hernandez, Delia Ovalle (Baldo), Katherine Quinones (Johnny), Debbie Castillo (Roland), Robert Vasquez (Maggie); her 23 grandchildren; her 53 great-grandchildren; her 13 great-great-grandchildren; her two sisters, Hortencia Vasquez and Andrea Lara; and her numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends who all loved her.

Due to restrictions on public gatherings, the visitation for Mary at Roy Akers Funeral Home – 515 North Main Ave. 78205 – will be limited to only 30 people in the building at a time. There will be a public visitation period on Tuesday, May 26 from 8:00 PM – 9:00 PM for brief visits with the family. If the building is at its capacity, you will be asked to wait in your vehicle until a space opens. Face coverings are required to be worn at all times. The Chapel Service will be an intimate family gathering at this time, and a Private Interment will take place at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
