Mary Alice was, as the Proverb states "An excellent wife. She is far more precious than jewels. The heart of her husband trusts in her, and he will have no lack of gain. She does him good, and not harm, all the days of her life." Loving her family and serving God were her passion. She used her talent to teach numerous piano and organ students, serve as organist at Grace Bible Church (her late husband Duane was the founder, and the church joined with the Orthodox Presbyterian Church Denomination in 1978), served as principal of Grace Bible College Preparatory School (now called San Antonio Christian Schools, aka SACS ), Sunday School teacher, and ladies Bible studies. She loved to entertain people in her home, cook, sew, travel, and teach her children. She believed that the family should experience as many opportunities as possible, and encouraged each of her children to develop his or her talents and work toward goals. She would often say, "do everything as unto the Lord".
Her earthly journey is over, and now she rejoices in the congregation of those who are praising God.
