I'm sorry to hear of Maria's passing.  It's been a long time since I last saw her, but my memory of her is still quite clear. My most sincere condolences to her entire family.

We lived with Aunt Mary on and off through my early years. She was always most welcoming to us. She was a very strong and funny woman. Love you Aunt Mary. You will be missed. You are our angel now.

I am thankful to my Aunt Mary for all the wonderful memories she gave me. I will always treasure our Christmas trips to San Antonio. Aunt Mary always had a way of making us feel so special. It was my Aunt Mary who inspired me into wanting to know how to cook. I will always keep her memories close to my heart. Not too long ago you said how much you missed my dad, Jesus Romero, now you won't have to, Tia. Rest in peace! Your niece, Yolanda Martinez

After my father, Jesus Romero, passed away, his sisters, Tia Mary, Tia Linda and Tia Tommie, use to make trips every year to Bay City on his birthday to light up his barbeque pit to celebrate his birthday. They came down 4 or 5 years straight. After that, Tia Mary said that they were getting too old to make the trips down. They use to drive down in that big ol' VW van with the window on top. We are grateful that we got a chance to visit Tia Mary at her apartment last year and see her before she passed away. She was always so beautiful. I remember her saying to me, “Robert, I can see you, I can talk to you but I can barely hear you, so talk loud but don't yell.” Haha  I looked at Tia Tommie and she smiled and said, “That's your Tia!” We will truly miss her.

Almighty Father, source of forgiveness and salvation, grant that our relatives and friends who have passed from this life may, through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary and of all the saints, come to share your Eternal happiness through Christ our Lord. Amen

My membo was a rock ... she brought up 5 children by herself and never complained to anyone. 
She loved her family, always asking how we were and what we were doing ... I will miss her hats and her wearing her signiture dark reds and fushia pink lipsticks ... never went anywhere without her lipstick ... ! I was with her the night she passed, I asked her to open her eyes one more time for me ... she did she opened them and I got to tell her I Love you Mem, I Love you ... it was amazing after not opening her eyes for days, then one last time ... it was amazing and beautiful and so precious to me ... When we buried her I had to say something, so when they closed the casket I told her what she used to tell me when I was little when my sister Michelle and myself used to spend the night ... Goodnight, sweet dreams ... dream about Jesus ...

Aunt Maria, will turly be missed.  She was always so loving and caring towards us and our family.  We will always remember her kindness and bright smile.  We are praying for our beloved family member.

To me... Aunt Mary was always bigger than  life itself. I remember the sound of her voice, & how she was always kind to me. But, most of all I remember the funny stories the family shared over the years. My own recollections almost always revolve around the relationship between Aunt Mary & my Grandma (Aunt Tommie). I remember sitting in the back seat of her big orange VW van. My Grandma was in the passenger seat, yelling at the  top of her lungs in Spanish for Aunt Mary to slow down (the van had a loud engine). Aunt Mary yelled back in Spanish..."I can't slow down, It's the only way I can drive straight"  I loved her dearly,& she will be missed.

My mother was such a strong person. She was the pillar in our family. She did rule with an iron fist and a soft heart. We will miss her, but are happy that she is no longer suffering.
