Mary Elsa Leal

Mary Elsa Leal went to be with her Lord at 8:00 a.m. Wednesday morning January 2, 2013. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, mother-in-law, daughter and friend. She lived a long and beautiful life of 89 years. Born in Pawnee, Texas, on March 30, 1923, to Francisco and Emma Trevino, she was the second of nine children. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Alvaro and his wife Christine, Alfonso and his wife Amanda, Adolio, Artagnan, and her sister Eva, and her beloved husband of 51 years Jesse Leal. She is survived by her son Robert Arthur Leal and his wife Laura, son Rene Anthony Leal and our loving angel Cindy Irvine who cared for her in the most tender and loving way. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Jordan, Lauren, and Cynthia Jade, her sisters, Estella Villarreal, Elvia Trevino, and Emma Hartley, and her sisters-in-law Dolores and Carmen Trevino. She will always be remembered for the love and dedication she had for her family and friends, and for her great love for nature and God’s beautiful things. She will be deeply missed. There will be visitation and viewing at Funeraria Del Angel Roy Akers 515 N. Main, on Wednesday January 9, 2013, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with the Rosary at 7:00 p.m. The next morning, January 10, 2013, a procession will depart the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. for an 11:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 6680 Crestway Drive.
