Mary Lou Conley was called home to be with LORD on September 4, 2017. Born in Puerto Rico, June 15, 1926 and moved to Texas in 1939. She was a Charter Member of the Missouri Synod. She taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School for several years at Messiah and Immanuel Lutheran Churches. She reunited in Heaven with her parents, Antonia and Victor Rivera; son, Dennis Allen Koehler; husbands, Ellis Conley and Allen Ernest Koehler; and many other family members.
Mary Lou was a devoted, loving mother to her children. Her career was as a beautician but her expertise was coloring heir. She never met a stranger, her personality drew people and children to her heart because of her caring, kindness, and faith in Jesus. She read the Bible every night and could quote the scriptures from memory.
Mary Lou is survived by her daughters, Dianne Lynn Mansolo, Betty Jean Schrieber; and son, David Allen Koehler; 11 Grandchildren; and 7 Great grandchildren. She is also survived from her church family at Holy Cross Lutheran, where she was a member of the choir. She was truly blessed and blessed others as well. Forever in our hearts, til we meet again; we Love you Mama.
The visitation for Mary Lou Conley will be Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at Porter Loring North Mortuaries form 6:30-8:00pm. The services will be Thursday, September 14, 2017 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 3118 south New Braunfels Avenue at 12:30pm, with a reception to follow. Interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
