Mary L. Barrera

Maria L. Barrera, our beloved mother, grandmother and sister, was called to rest on May 24, 2011. Mary, as she was known to most, loved dancing to Tejano and country music, listening to Mariachis, attending church, shopping at her favorite store—Macy’s, taking trips to the casino, working as much as possible, and being surrounded by her loving family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Barrera, Sr.; her brothers, Inez and Raul Lozano, and is survived by her children: Yolanda B. Day and husband Jerry, Albert Barrera, Jr. and wife Linda, Patricia B. Crawford and husband Andrew, Jaime Barrera and wife Sandra, Marisela B. Gonzalez and husband Michael; grandchildren: Jeffrey B. Torres and family, Vanessa C. Torres, Valerie N. Barrera, Lauren D. Barrera, Brittany Barrera, Fernando Gomez, Jr., Joshua J. Barrera, Miranda E. Barrera, Allyson L. Gonzalez, and Jeremy M. Gonzalez; step-grandchildren: Blake Crawford, Justin Day, Hunter Crawford, Collin Crawford, and Brittany Day; sisters, Victoria Lopez and Frances Saucedo; numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive extended family and friends at 6:00 p.m., Friday, May 27, 2011 at Funeraria Del Angel Roy Akers with a Rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m.. A funeral procession will depart the funeral home at 9:30 a.m., Saturday, May 28, 2011 to celebrate a 10:00 a.m. Funeral Mass at St. Ann’s Catholic Church.
