Marvin F. Meyer, age 85, passed away Wednesday, September 18, 2013 in San Antonio, Texas. He was born on August 9, 1928 in San Antonio, Texas to Joseph & Felicita Meyer. After 20 years of service, he retired from the U.S. Army.
Marvin is preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Felicita (Alvy) Old, Josephine (Taylor) Pierce, William Meyer and Fred Meyer; brothers-in-law, Edward Gillespie and John Bilicek. Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Mary L. Meyer; sons, Michael A. Meyer and Mark F. Meyer & wife, Susan; grandson Cory Foster Meyer & his wife, Hester; 3 great-grandsons; sisters, Mercy Gillespie and Florence Bilicek; brother, Richard Meyer & his wife, Glenda; sisters-in-law, Connie Meyer and Anna Rose Meyer.
Visitation will take place at 8:00 a.m. with a funeral service at 9:00 a.m. Monday, September 23, 2013 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bill Shockley officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to the American Heart Association.
