Marvin Jones

C. Marvin Jones was born in Clanton, AL on May 18, 1932 to Clarence N. Jones and Bessie M. Porter and passed away on July 13, 2013 in San Antonio, TX. He worked for Ken Batchelor Cadillac for 18 years, many times being named salesman of the month. His other passion in life was gardening; he had numerous rose bushes and ferns in his backyard and many birds.

Marvin was preceded in death by his parents and his daughter, Sheralyn Taylor. Surviving are his wife of 61 years, Joyce; sons, Michael A. Jones (Vickie), Brandon Jones; grandchildren, Jennifer Schmiedekamp (Cory), Kevin Taylor, Amanda Nelson (Gary), Blake Jones (Patty), Rachel Watts (Brad), Kayla Elaine Jones; great-grandchildren, Sherry Schmiedekamp, Brodie Schmiedekamp, Kaleb Steere, Madelyn Jones and Nathaniel Jones; sisters, Essie Mae Easterling, Barbara Ann Schultz; and brother, Steven Allen Jones.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 17, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Sunset Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 18, 2013 in Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. Entombment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park Mausoleum 1.
