After graduating from Jefferson High School Martha worked for H. Steele &Company. She then worked for AT&T until she took a medical retirement.
Martha then became a willing worker at United Way and added the Lions Club to her circle of endeavors. This continued until her passing.
Martha was preceded in death by her parents and her only brother Paul C. Ross, 71. Martha also had two sisters Sylvia Ann, 10, and Mary Lea, 18 months, who were killed by a drunk driver in 1945, two years before she was born.
Martha is survived by her one remaining sister and brother-in-law Bob and Doris Hamilton of Austin, Adam and Leslie Hamilton of Austin/San Antonio and her great nieces and nephews Daniel Hamilton, Sarah and Michael Valdivia, Zach Hamilton, Ben Hamilton and Olivia Hamilton.
Martha was an intelligent woman with a wonderful sense of wit and humor. She was loved by many and will be missed by us all.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, November 15, 2015 from 2-5pm at Sunset Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, November 16th at 12pm.With interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
