Martha Ann Roe, 73, passed away at her home in Floresville on June 19, 2018, into the arms of her loving God. This brought an end to her struggle with diabetes and dialysis due to renal disease. She was born on April 6, 1945, to Herbert and Esther (Harms) Kneifel.
Martha was a 1963 graduate of Yorktown High School, in Yorktown, Texas. In 1964 she married the love of her life, James K Roe, and celebrated 50 years together until his death in 2014. They were blessed with two sons, Brett Alan Roe, and Justin Wade Roe. Martha worked for the D.O.D. at Kelly Air Force Base and retired after a 30 year civilian career. Her greatest love was always her family. Martha Ann always enjoyed the family trips they shared and cooking their favorite dishes. Sharing the holidays brought her the greatest enjoyment.
Martha was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her son Brett Alan Roe. Martha is survived by her son Justin Roe, granddaughter Alexis Mackenzie Roe, grandson Seth Blocker, sister Alanna and husband Anthony Lanza and their children Christopher and Kristen Lanza. She is also survived by cousins and extended family.
There will be a funeral service on Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church with interment at the adjacent cemetery at 9944 Leslie Rd at Braun and 1604.
