Marilyn Stull went to heaven to be with our Lord Jesus and her husband Frank on January 1st, 2017. She was born on November 13th, 1929 in West Hartford, Connecticut. Marilyn was an avid sports fan as well as a skilled athlete. She was President of the Women’s Athletic Association in college and the Captain on each of the 7 teams she played on to include: Field Hockey, Basketball, Lacrosse, Softball, Tennis, Archery and Badminton.
Marilyn attended the University of Pennsylvania on a scholarship achieving a Master’s degree in Education with her undergraduate degree in Physical Education and a minor in English.
Marilyn was passionate about teaching and coaching sports and she did so for 25 years at the high school level. She felt participation in sports taught children to never give up and to always do their best. She was a superb coach and her volleyball, tennis and gymnastics teams were undefeated for many of the years that she coached. She had a great impact on the children that she coached and taught, and many still keep in contact with her. She retired in 1990 to spend time with her husband Frank who she was married to for 65 years. Their retirement was spent in the Poconos and Florida until they moved to San Antonio, Texas in 2002. Marilyn sang in Coker Chancel Choir for over a decade.
Marilyn blessed others with her cheerful, loving, kind and humble demeanor. She was a constant and steady support for friends and family. Her faith was strong and she never complained. She was a loving example to many.
Marilyn is survived by her daughter, Nancy Stull; Son and Wife, Mark and Linda; son and wife Matthew and Karen; daughter Debbie Stull; and grandchildren, Katie, Sara, Eric , Annie , Codi and Kami.
