Maria Del Refugio Zapata

Our beloved Maria Del Refugio Zapata entered eternal rest on January 4, 2016 at the age of 99. Born on March28, 1916 in Mexico to Leonardo and Celsa Reta, she now reunites with her parents; sister, Juana Reta; brother, Ramiro Reta; husband, Felipe R. Zapata; and her daughter, Hermelinda Hernandez. She is survived by her loving granddaughters, Veronica Hernandez, and Teresa Saldana; great grandsons: Joseph Jr., Phillip Gonzales, Julian Francisco Jr., Zachary Angel Ramirez; great granddaughter Calleigh Lynn Portillo; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff and administration at Atrium Rehabilitation and Gentiva Hospice for their care and support during her last years. The family will be receiving guests at the funeral home on Thursday, January 14, 2016 at 5:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue on Friday, January 15,2016 at 8:00 a.m. with a 10:00 a.m. Chapel Service.
