Maria Elena Silva

She is survived by her loving husband of over 54 years, Laurencio C. Silva; Rosa Elena Perez and Joe Louis Perez (daughter/son in law); Laurencio Silva and Wendy Silva (son/daughter in law), Elizabeth Martinez and George Martinez(daughter/son in law); 7 grandchildren: Jennifer Nicole Gonzalez, Joey Perez, Juan Laurencio Silva, Jackie Perez, Vanessa Hillary Silva, Maralicia Martinez and Anahi Martinez; 3 great grandchildren: Isabella Silva, Juan E. Silva and Alaina Silva.

Elena “Nena” as close family and friends referred to her, was a loving and dedicated wife and mother. She immigrated to the United States in 1969 and raised her children in a Catholic household with a strict hand and loving heart. Her pride was always her marriage and her children’s success. A proud moment in her life was becoming a United States citizen.

Nena was known for her delicious cooking, including her tamales, mole and salsas. She loved spending her free time organizing a game of lotería and hitting the dance floor with her grandkids.

Nena had a love for life and a beautiful smile to prove it.
