Maria Lucina Rocha, 91, of San Antonio, Texas, was born on June 30, 1925 in Tampico Tamaulipas, Mexico. She is preceded in death by her parents Carmen Sifuentes Trevino and Otilio Sifuentes. She went to be with her Heavenly Father on Saturday, April 15, 2017 at her residence in San Antonio, Texas.
Maria was married to Emilio Rocha (deceased), her husband of over 50 years, who passed on October 5, 2005. They married in Monterrey, Mexico, moved to Chicago, Illinois and ultimately came to live in San Antonio, Texas, where they raised their 5 children.
In addition to her travels with her husband throughout the United States, Mexico and Europe, her most recent travels included Cozumel. Throughout her lifetime, she enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, participating in their life’s treasured moments, be it birthdays, holidays, or occasional outings. She enjoyed listening to music, which characterized her beautiful voice. She was an avid spiritual person and a parishioner of St. Anns Catholic Church.
Visitations for Maria are scheduled for Thursday, April 20, 2017 at Funeraria Del Angel Roy Akers located at 515 N. Main Ave, San Antonio, Texas 78205 from 5:00 p.m. - 9 p.m., followed by a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 21, 2017 with the procession departing at 11:00 a.m., from the funeral home, for an 11:30 a.m. Service Mass at St. Ann’s Catholic Church, 210 St. Ann’s St., 78201. Interment will be at San Fernando Cemetery II, San Antonio, Texas.
Maria is survived by her sons: Rene Emilio Rocha and wife, Maria Angelica Peña Rocha of San Antonio, Texas; Roberto Rocha & wife Rosa Maria Rocha; (deceased son Alexander Gerard Rocha); surviving daughters include: Priscilla Rocha and Carmelina Rocha Davis and husband Bill Shaones; grandsons include: Michael Patrick Davis, Joel Emilio Rocha and wife Aldela Beatrice Robledo Rocha, Randall and wife Amy Nichols; granddaughters include: Jackie Rocha and Antoinette Rose Renee Rocha; great grandsons include: Jacob Alexander Davis, Mason and Jet Nichols; and great granddaughter Natalie Rebecca Rocha, all of San Antonio, Texas.
