She attended college and worked as an accountant in her younger years. She was also known for playing the guitar at parties. After years of living in Mexico, she began traveling with her husband, Benjamin Pelayo and daughter Lucero Zapata then ended up staying in San Antonio, Texas. She always knew how to make people laugh and was a caring mother and grandmother.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Guillermo Fausto. Surviving, in addition to her husband Benjamin Pelayo, are her daughter Lucero Zapata and her husband Homer Zapata. Brothers Gilberto Fausto and Damaso Fausto; grandchildren: Mark Zapata and Stephanie Zapata.
