Maria Lourdes de Guzman Pagan, age 55, passed away April 13, 2011 in San Antonio, Texas. She was born on March 11, 1956 in Manila, Philippines to Moises Laperal de Guzman and Maria Milagros Balmori. She is survived by her husband Pablo Pagan; daughter, Ana Marie Ramos; sisters, Maria Paz Falgui, Maria Soccoro Montano, Maria Teresa Daud and Maria Elena Araneta; brothers, Francisco de Guzman and Eduardo de Guzman; numerous nieces and nephews and loving pets, Bella (dog) and Sophie (cat) and friends. Visitation will be at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home, 6321 Bandera Road on Wednesday, April 20, 2011 from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. A funeral service will be conducted on Sunday, April 24, 2011 at 7:00 P.M. at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials in memory of Maria, who was an ardent and inveterate advocate for the humane treatment of all animals, may be made to the ASPCA, Alley Cat Rescue, Dogs on Death Row, or Animal Welfare Institute.
