With profound sadness we announce the passing of Maria G. Navarro. She was born September 11, 1929 in Edinburg, Texas and went to be with the Lord on September 14, 2020 at the age of 91. She passed peacefully in her home of natural causes. She is preceded in death by her parents Juan and Teresa Gonzalez.
She was the true definition of a Matriarch who dedicated herself to care and love her family to her very last breath.
She is survived by her 3 Children; Son-Tomas Alberto Navarro (wife) Mary Alice Navarro, Son-Frank Navarro and Daughter-Corina Hayden. Her First Generation blessed her with numerous Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren and she was able to witness her 4th Generation, her Great-Great Grandchildren. She loved each and every one of us in her own special way.
She is also survived by her beloved niece and nephews.
The Lord blessed her with many gifts several of which were cooking, sewing and gardening.
We will forever hold those memories of cooking in her kitchen. The recipes we will pass down to generations to come.
Her gift of sewing was a hobby and her profession. She dedicated many years working as a seamstress for San Antonio Shoes. Where she retired and continued to create beautiful works of art with her hands.
The Greatest Gift of all was her Green Thumb. She had the ability to bring something back to life. Her rose garden was her pride and joy.
She will forever be known for her generosity and kindness driven by her Catholic faith. It was her faith in the Lord and Faith in her family that kept her with us for 91 beautiful years.
A Memorial Service and Celebration of Life will be held October 3, 2020.
