Maria Lara Mesa

Maria L. Mesa, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away May 25th, 2021, at the age of 89. She was born in San Antonio, Texas on August 6th, 1931. She was a beautiful person with a happy, loving nature and a Christian. She was generous with her time and talents, always willing to help someone in need. She enjoyed reading, gardening, and cooking. Her favorite vacation travels were to Florida and California. She married Jose Mesa Sr. in San Antonio, Texas and had four children. Her husband passed away in 2011. Maria is survived by her daughter Diana Neira and sons Jose Mesa Jr., Mario Mesa, and Rena Mesa. She is also survived by spouses of Jose Mesa Jr. and Mario Mesa as well as four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

The family will be receiving guests on Sunday, June 6th, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino Funeral Home , 226 Cupples Rd, San Antonio, TX 78237, with a Rosary service to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be celebrated Monday, June 7th, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at San Juan de los Lagos Catholic Church, 3231 El Paso St, San Antonio, TX 78207. Interment will follow at San Fernando Cemetery II, 746 Castroville Rd, San Antonio, TX 78237.

Due to covid-19 restrictions, the visitation at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino Funeral Home will be limited to a capacity of 100 guests at a time and face coverings are required.
