Maria G. Martinez

Maria G. Martinez born on October 21, 1952 in San Antonio, TX was called to be with Lord on February 7, 2014 at the age of 61. She was a 1971 graduate of Sidney Lanier High School. Mrs. Martinez retired from The Elizondo’s Flower Shop after 15 years of service. She was a proud mother of 3 beautiful daughters. She is preceded in death by her husband, Guadalupe Martinez, Sr.; mother, Olivia L. Ortiz,; sons, Guadalupe Martinez, Jr. and Pedro M. Martinez, Sr. She is survived by her children; Marisela G. Martinez, Juliet M. Martinez, Grace E. (Princess) Martinez, Estella Huerta (Albert), Irma Martinez, Robert M. Martinez, Sr. (Jo Ann), Alice Rico, and Rosalinda Gonzalez; Companion, Alfredo Mireles; daughter-in-law, Rose Mary Martinez; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; sisters; Sandra A. Ramirez (Michael) and Patsy Ortiz; brothers, Benito Ortiz, Jr., and Victor Ortiz; also numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Thursday, February 13, 2014 at Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Rd. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Procession will depart from the funeral home on Friday, February 14, 2014 at 9:30 a.m. for a 10:00 a.m. Mass of the Resurrection at St. Jude’s Catholic Church. Interment will follow in San Fernando Cemetery No.2.
