Maria Aurelia Martinez

Maria was born on September 23, 1938 in Queretaro, the eldest child to Blas and Paula Garcia. She married Ramon Martinez in 1963 and together they had and raised five daughters and three sons.

Maria had a big heart and loved to cook for family and friends. She was loved and cherished by all who met her. She had a beautiful smile and a compassionate spirit and was selfless, always put her children first.

Maria was preceded in death by her father, Blas Garcia mother Paula Alvarado Garcia; daughter, Margarita.

She is survived by her husband Ramon, seven children, Mario (Elena), Maricela (Luis), Guadalupe (Andrew), Maria (Joey), Ramon (Silvia), Jose Luis (Tabitha), and Estella and thirteen grandchildren, Jonathan, Amanda, Jeremy, Jude, Vedder, Rogue, Margaret, Scarlett, Mia, Phoenix, Bella, Logen, and Evan; siblings,Jose (Dora), Juana(Mario), Dario(Alicia), and Felicitas (Ruben) Joaquin(Elva).

The Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino, 226 Cupples Rd. with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. The Procession will depart from the funeral home on Thursday, July 15, 2021 at 9:30 a.m. for a 10:00 a.m. Mass of the Resurrection at Christ The King Catholic Church, 2623 Perez St., San Antonio, TX 78207. Interment will follow in San Fernando Cemetery II.
