Maria Elena Guzman went to be with the Lord on April 9, 2011 at the age of 75. She was born in Yepomera, Chihuahua, Mexico and is preceded in death by her parents, Sofia Flores Duran and Cruz Duran. She is survived by her children, Richard Guzman (Iris), Elva Flores (Guadalupe, Jr), Mary Guzman, Patricia Nelson and David Guzman; 4 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; sisters, Cuca Duran, Sofia Duran, Maria Trevizo; and brother, Lorenzo Duran. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 13, 2011 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. in Sunset Funeral Home Chapel, with a rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. The procession will leave Sunset at 9:15 a.m. on Thursday, April 14, 2011 for the Mass of Christian Burial at San Juan de los Lagos Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
