Maria P. Garcia

Maria Picon Garcia was called home to be with the Lord, on December 30, 2013 at the age of 87. She is preceded in death by her sisters; Luz, Bernarda, Andrea, Guadalupe, Julia, Elvira, brother Pillar, beloved nephews Alberto Picon, Cirildo Valdez and parents Marciano & Rafaela M. Picon. Maria is survived by her loving husband, of 65 years of marriage, Juan D. Garcia. They were married in St. Augusta Catholic Church on October 03, 1948. She is also survived by her sister Paula M. Picon, various neices, nephews and numerous great nieces and nephews. Maria was very involved in her church community and will greatly be missed by all. Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 07, 2014 at Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Rd with a Rosary to be recited on Wednesday, January 08, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. A procession will depart the funeral home Thursday, January 09, 2014 at 9:30 a.m. for a 10:00 a.m. mass of resurrection at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church with interment to follow at San Fernando Cemetery No. 2.
