Maria is preceded in death by her husband Reynaldo Cortez; her father Ramon Martinez (Teresa); her brother Ramon Martinez Jr and her sister Imelda Marinez.
Maria is survived by her daughter Gigi Garcia (Luis); her daughter Carmina De La Cruz; her son Reynaldo Cortez Jr; and her son Marcial Cortez (Rose); her grandchild Luis A Garcia Jr, her grandchild Rigoberto A. Garcia, her grandchild Reynaldo A. Garcia, her grandchild Teresa Maria A. Garcia, her grandchild Nicole de la Cruz, her grandchild Tessa de la Cruz, her grandchild Hunter Cortez and her grandchild Christopher Cortez.
She was a woman of great faith who loved her family, and grandchildren. She will be sincerely missed by everyone who knew her.
A visitation for Maria will be held Sunday, September 18, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Sunset North Funeral Home, 910 North Loop 1604 East, San Antonio, TX 78232. A rosary will occur Sunday, September 18, 2022 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM, 910 North Loop 1604 East, San Antonio, TX 78232. A funeral mass will occur Monday, September 19, 2022 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at St Dominic Catholic Church, 5919 Ingram Rd, San Antonio, TX 78228. A committal service will occur Monday, September 19, 2022 from 2:30 PM to 3:00 PM at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd, San Antonio, TX 78209.
