Maria Reyes Balderas

Maria Reyes Balderas, age 97, of San Antonio, Texas passed away on Sunday, November 13, 2022. She was born January 6, 1925 to Natalio and Socorro De La Garza in Concepcion del Oro, Mexico. She is the first of 19 children and helped raise them with her parents.

Maria is preceded by both of her parents and her husband, Alfonso C. Balderas. She is survived by her children, Alfonse C. Balderas Jr. (Maria G.), Hector Javier Balderas (Rose B.), and Graciela Cuellar; her grandchildren, Maria Elena Cater (Matthew), Veronica Nunez (Chris), Bianca M. Balderas, Valerie R. Roller (Jason), Cristina M. Balderas , Matthew J. Balderas (Kim), Mark Anthony Balderas, Andres Cuellar, and Alicia K. Jimenez (Jonathan); and her great grandchildren, Adrianna Cervantes, Madelynn G. Carter, Jacob Carter, James Nunez, Joshua Nunez, Reagan P. Roller, Charlotte J. Roller, and Mateo A. Jimenez.

A visitation for Maria will be held Sunday, November 20, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a rosary 6:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Roy Akers, 515 North Main Ave, San Antonio, TX 78205. A funeral mass will occur Monday, November 21, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 2114 W Houston St, San Antonio, TX 78207. A graveside service will occur Monday, November 21, 2022 at 11:30 AM at San Fernando #2 Cemetery, 746 Castroville Rd, San Antonio, TX 78237.
