Marguerite Ernestine Elliott, age 92, passed away on Friday, September 17, 2004.
Ernestine, as she was known by her family and friends, was preceded in death by her husband of almost 60 years, Col. Rupert A. Elliott, USAF, Retired.
Born and reared in Dallas she attended Baylor University for two years prior to her marriage in 1935.
She experienced the difficult depression years as the young wife of a public school teacher in Palacios, Midfield, Wadsworth and Corpus Christi, Texas.
After her husband was called to active duty, she lived in Albuquerque; Washington, DC; Palacios; Japan and Michigan before moving to San Antonio in 1961, where she was an active member of First Baptist Church.
She is survived by her sister, Josephine Schenewerk of New Boston; sons, John Elliott and wife, Ruth of Waco; Richard Elliott and wife, Marilyn of San Antonio; grandsons, Joel Elliott of Arlington; Mark Elliott and wife, Candy of Arlington; Robert Elliott and wife, Rebecca of San Antonio; Roland Elliott of San Antonio; and Thomas Elliott of Waco. She is also survived by two great grandchildren, Christopher and Cassandra Elliott of San Antonio.
