Margie L. Specht

Margie Specht, 78, passed away on Wednesday, March 7, 2012. She was born in Boerne, Texas on September 25, 1933 to Henry and Ida Poehnert Nickels. She served as an LVN for 20 years and also worked at Career Point teaching nursing students until she was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer in 2010. She is survived by her loving husband of almost 60 years, Jerry Specht; daughter, Karen Specht Schoener and husband Harvey; son, Jeff Specht and Dr. Charlene Haynes; grandchildren, Kyle Schoener and wife Stacy, Cody Schoener and wife Molly, Reese Specht and Luke Specht; great grandchildren, Alex, Hudson and Annie Schoener, Noah and Felix Schoener; brother, Albert Nickels. The visitation will be held on Friday, March 9, 2012 from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. at Sunset North Funeral Home, 910 North Loop 1604 East. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 10, 2012 at 10:00 A.M. at Gethsemane Lutheran Church, 610 Avalon with Pastor Richard Kidd officiating. The interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
