Margarita Moreno, 95 entered into eternal rest on Sunday, April 23, 2023, in San Antonio, TX. She was a member of St. John Berchman Church. She attended Mass on Saturday, sitting in her unofficial front pew. She enjoyed cooking, baking, watching Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune. She enjoyed going to Thrift Stores with her daughter Deanna looking for treasure and enjoyed going to Kick-A-Poo playing slot machines. Even going to the grocery store was fun for her. She would not leave her home until she was dressed with hair and makeup and never forgetting the lipstick, mother always looked her best. Mrs. Moreno had a passion for her family, especially her husband. She also loved her cats.
She is preceded in death by her husband Rudy A. Moreno of 68 Years. Our parents grew up knowing each other since they were children. As they grew up and started dating, falling in love and marrying.
Margarita is survived by her 4 children; Sylvia, Rudy, Deanna and Larry, 1 brother, 2 sisters and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nephews and nieces.
Our mother would tell us often that she had lived a long and happy life. She had the very best husband and wonderful children. She wanted her friends and extended family not to feel sad but to celebrate her life. Her nightly ritual included her son, Rudy coming into her bedroom, sitting next to her and praying. Our Mother will be truly missed by all. Rest in peace Mother.
The Visitation will be Monday, May 1, 2023 beginning at 9:30 am with the Rosary being recited at 11:00 am at Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Road, San Antonio, Texas 78237. Burial will follow at San Fernando Cemetery II, 746 Castroville Road, San Antonio, Texas 78237.
