Margarita Serna Cardenas born November 28, 1927 in Laredo, Texas passed away to be with our Lord on April 20, 2018 at the age of 90. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jose Hilario & Jacinta Serna; husband, Horace Cardenas, Sr. and siblings, Jesus, Enrique, Jose, Pablo, Arturo, Leopoldo, Rosa, & Maria Serna and Irma Martinez. Margarita is survived by her children; Jose David Serna, Mark Anthony Cardenas, Horace Cardenas, Jr., Vivian M. Donaldson, Albert Cardenas, Rita A. Cardenas-Gamez; sister, Rachel Rodriguez as well as numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the immediate family.
A visitation will be held Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Rd. San Antonio, TX 78237 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a rosary to be recited at 7:00p.m. A mass of the resurrection will be held on Thursday, May 10, 2018 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church at 11:30 a.m. with interment to follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
