Maggie was a cherished friend, loving daughter, dedicated wife and mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. She will be greatly missed.
Maggie was born in Floresville, Texas to John and Eleanor Cordaway on February 13, 1923, the fourth of eleven brothers and sisters.
She relocated to San Antonio in 1941 and married Leo Quintanilla on July 1, 1944. The couple welcomed two children: a son, William, and a daughter, Margaret Ann.
Maggie enjoyed life’s simple pleasures: time with her family, music, dancing, sewing, and working in the yard. She was an expert bingo and domino player, and was known to tell a joke or two. She was a deeply spiritual woman, finding love and strength in her relationship with the Lord.
She is survived by her son, William and his wife Gloria; her daughter, Margaret Ann; five grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
A viewing will be held on Monday, March 22nd at Roy Akers Funeral Home, from 5-8pm with a rosary at 7pm. For those unable to attend, the viewing and rosary will be streamed virtually.
