Margaret “Jenny” Krouse, age 81, passed away November 15, 2023 in San Antonio, Texas. She was born on January 19, 1942 in Charleston, South Carolina to John Lowther Gibson and Frances Helen Brown Gibson.
Jenny was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Pam Stanley.
Jenny is survived by her husband of 60 years, Kieth Krouse; children, Keith Krouse Jr., Brad Krouse, and Lesley Krouse Inman; grandchildren, Audrey Inman and Jack Inman; brother, Johnny Gibson.
Jenny had a very interesting life. After graduating from Miami High School, she worked for Eastern Airlines for several years. Jenny loved to dance and met her future husband at the local dance club. For 2nd Lieutenant Kieth Krouse, it was love at first sight. It was a love that lasted over sixty years. They married on September 2nd, 1963 and two years later started their family. Being in the Air Force, the family moved every few years, places like Grand Forks, ND, Omaha, NE, Rome, NY, Omaha, NE, again, Montgomery, AL, Guam, and Edmond, OK. While stationed on the island of Guam, Jenny had the opportunity to visit South Korea, Japan, Thailand, the Philippines, and China. As a special note, she helped entertain the Premier of China on his way to the U.S. and President Regan and his staff on their way to China. Jenny was a special woman who made friends wherever she went and touched the lives of many during her 81 years. Jenny was a beautiful woman, a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother and she will be sorely missed. Her loving husband, Kieth, looks forward to seeing her again in Heaven.
Visitation will be at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home, 6321 Bandera Road, San Antonio, Texas 78238 on Saturday, December 16, 2023 beginning at 1:00 P.M. with rosary and funeral service to follow at 2:00 P.M.
