It’s hard to believe that you’ve been gone three years today so many things I didn’t get to tell you and share with you and I guess in the end we just ran out of time. I will always cherish the time and the memories that we had , Noah and I love you very much and miss you and we know that, you are in our hearts and I’m sure are watching from above. Michael’s been saying he’s “pretending you’re still at Nana’s” so that he won’t be sad. I guess I have been too. 
My heart hurts, thinking of saying goodbye. I’ll miss the smell of coffee at the house, and how you’d always made sure I had a cup. I’ll miss sitting there talking and playing rummy for hours. I’ll miss laughing at mom with you as you stuck your tongue out at her, stubbornly, as a fellow Taurus would. I’ve always been a little more proud , graduating from Texas State, knowing you did, too. Seeing your class ring on your finger, wondering what that part of your life looked like in that same place I spent part of mine. Easters and Canyon Lake trips, too-they won’t be the same without you.  The companionship and love you brought my mom...so much, and most of all. 
But I feel soo blessed to have gotten closer to you over these past years, and I’m lucky to have these things to miss. Love you...Thank you, Manuel.

Babe, my heart aches beyond words.  Thank you so much for loving me with your all.  We were so fortunate to have found each other!  You made me laugh a lot, like I always said, “I’m going to keep you around for laughs.”.  Who is going to be there to spoil me so.   There are so many things we didn’t do, but know that all that we did do will never be forgotten!  I know we were so looking forward to going back to Canyon Lake!  We will go again with you in our hearts and thoughts.  That was our first outing together. You were such a gentleman.  My family was able to bond with you at this very special place.  Our holidays with your family at my home are cherished memories!  Know that we will continue to have those gatherings.  I wouldn’t have it any other way. Thanks for sharing your family with me.  They are my family!  I’m so gunna miss playing cards nightly, even if you were loosing and threw the cards, “I quit”. I will miss that little tantrum, but will never play cards again without thinking of you.  It was such a part of our lives, my kids, and Maria’s.  Thanks for loving us with your entirety.  Till we meet again, all my love!  See you in my dreams.

Manuel you will be missed by many. Thank you for loving my sister  the way you did. I'm so glad you came to NY and was part of our family. Hi dad, I thought of you today during the cowboys game and they won, I’m sure you were happy. I miss your comment when a play would go wrong, you would say “Yeah Right”. 
I know today we would be having our breakfast and talking about anything and everything under the sun. I miss you immensely and all that we did together. I’ve always been proud of you for all you did for our family.  Please tell mom hello and that I love and miss her.  I’m sorry I didn’t get to say goodbye , but it’s not goodbye, I will see you again. 
I’m just fortunate and privileged to have had you as my father and having you here for the past 49 years of my life . I will cherish every memory close to my heart. Noah and I love you always and forever.  I’m so glad you, Noah and I spent lots of time together this past summer and having you there to celebrate my birthday this past July and our last road trip.

As brothers growing up in a large family it was challenging but always interesting knowing I have a big brother who would look after his siblings Manuel you were always very protective of us and I will miss that about how loving and gentle you tried to be with us. For your sons and their family I know it is hard thinking about your father and all of the times you shared that were meaningful and sometimes hard and sad but we have all of the great remembrances that will live on in our memories. And for this I am truly very grateful to have shared them with you all. We hold you in our hands  and hope that you find comfort in the many words thoughts and prayers in the days to come God bless

Dad yesterday was my birthday. One of the small things I took for granted was always receiving a phone call from you telling me Happy Birthday. Then we would continue to talk about the Cowboys game from that weekend. Well I really missed getting that call. The hurt is real. I love you Dad!

I never got the chance to tell you just how grateful I was to have you in our lives. It breaks my heart. You were a blessing to my mom and I know she was a blessing to you as well… How lucky can two people be to have found love again for a second time? Life is wonderful in that way. 
I know my mom is hurting, I know your sons are hurting, your grandchildren, me and my siblings & so many people… we all feel you were snatched away from us. But I know I must trust that everything happens for a reason, it’s just some days that’s easier said than done. 
One thing I know I can do is to honor your life by keeping your memory alive. 
I will never forget all the summers we spent swimming. Looking look back I never realized how much maintenance the pool took but you did it to make us and all the kids happy. Thank you for that. I will never forget the tv you gave us that we kept for a million years because it was too heavy to move lol.. but it worked and it made us happy.. thank you. All the weekends out at canyon lake with my mom and the twins-man did we have fun?! Thank you! For all the times you took me to get a new battery for my car or helped me with whatever it was I needed… thank you. For all the games of rummy we played together, all the funny jokes, snide remarks and good times.. thank you. For everything you did for my mom, for loving her the way you did, thank you. For being there to help celebrate birthdays and holidays and milestones… thank you. 
I hope that this last 75th surprise birthday party, that I helped so much to put together—I hope with all my heart, it made you happy. I am so thankful that you got to have all of the most important people in your life together at once. 

I know you may have left this physical world but you will live on through the memories and tales of those you left behind. 
Thank you again for all that you were and still are to me and my family.

Manuel my Dearest  Friend and Compadre I am so sadden that you are not with us anymore but I am most happy you are not suffering anymore and went happy hand in hand with my Comadre. I will miss our talks and consecos our Luncheons together.
