Manuel Rosales passed in peace on Monday, January 3, 2022 at the age of 93. Manuel was born on August 24, 1928 to Mr. and Mrs. Mariano and Rita Rosales in Coleman, Texas. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Esther Trevino Rosales; parents Mariano Rosales and Rita Lopez Rosales; sisters, Lupe Barron and Alice Perez; brothers, Ben Rosales, Frank Rosales, Richard Rosales, Elias Rosales, Nick Rosales and Jesse Rosales; Manuel is survived by numerous grandchildren, great- grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Manuel was an Army veteran. He enlisted in the United States Army on September 5, 1946 and was Honorably discharged on February 12, 1948. Manuel was a wonderful man who was loved, cherished and is going to be missed. He was self-sufficient and up until September 2021, lived on his own in the house that he had shared with his beloved wife, Esther. He will be fondly remembered as a loving grandfather, his grandchildren were his heart and joy.
Manuel’s family will certainly feel his absence without him in their lives. But we can say Manuel aka “gramps” touched each and every one of us and has left us with memories that we will cherish forever. We will certainly miss him; however, we rejoice that we know he is now in the presence of the Lord.
A visitation will be held Thursday, January 27, 2022 at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a service starting at 7:00 p.m. On Friday, January 28, 2022, a short service will be held at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m with interment to follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. If you are unable to attend, the prayer service will be livestreamed on the Funeral Home's Facebook page beginning at 7:00 p.m.
