Manuel S. Hernandez was called home to be with the Lord on February 13, 2014 at the age of 85. He is preceded in death by his children Hope, Manuel Jr., Sammy, 1 brother, 1 sister, 2 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Manuel is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Julia Hernandez, children; Manuel Jr. (Diana), Johnny(Cristina), Mario(Lucia), Janie(Robert), Margie(Carlos), Rosa ( Lu John), Tonia (JC), 27 grandchildren, 79 great grandchildren, 20 great great-grandchildren and sister Antonia. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at Trevino Funeral Home, 2525 Palo Alto Rd., with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. A procession will depart the funeral home on Thursday, February 20, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. for a 10:30 a.m. Mass of Resurrection at St. Clare Catholic Church with Interment to follow in San Fernando Cemetery II.
