Maggie Lou Schenck

Maggie L. Schenck age 95, passed away November 28, 2022. She was born on January 26, 1927 in Grant, Oklahoma to Thomas Dromgool Pearcy and Clauda Eugene Hobbs Pearcy. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Schenck.

Maggie is survived by her daughter, Cindy Henley and husband Jonathan Henley; granddaughter, Paige Henley and grandson, Justin Henley. Survived also by many nieces, nephews, great nieces & great nephews.

She was a devoted military wife following along with her husband during his military career. She took pride in making sure her family was taken care by preparing hot meals and the clothes pressed. She was involved in PTA, church committees, and working in the church nursery. She enjoyed reading, doing crossword puzzles & word finds. She took watching her soap operas serious from 12:30-3:00. You best not call or she would miss part of a episode.

Her pride and joy were her 2 grandchildren, Paige & Justin Henley.

A great big thank you to Anna Estrada who helped to take care of Maggie part time while she remained in her own home.Then, 5 years ago when Maggie needed more care, Anna agreed to move her into her home full time.

Visitation will be at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home, 6321 Bandera Road, San Antonio, Texas 78238 on Tuesday, December 6, 2022 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.

A graveside service will be conducted on Wednesday, December 7, 2022 at 9:30 A.M. Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.

A Celebration of Life service will be on Wednesday, December 7, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. at the First Baptist Church of Helotes, 14889 Old Bandera Road, Helotes, Texas 78203.

In lieu of flowers you may make a donation to The First Baptist Church of Helotes or the Alzheimer’s Association.
