She joined the military at an early age and was the first female Air Cargo Specialist in the Air Force. Where she served faithfully until she transitioned. She met and married Eric Franks on November 15, 1980 at a little chapel at Fort Lewis, Washington. She was a member of Victory Gospel Chapel where she served as a Deaconess and Elder in the Chapel.
She also spearheaded the Tea Cops Ministry. Her passion included reading, writing, and being with family.
To continuing celebrating her life, she leaves her husband, Eric Franks of 41 years; son, Devon Franks; daughter, Shondel Collins; grandchildren, Kendra, Alyssa, Lila, Erica, Isaiah, and Elijah; brothers and sisters, Rodney, Joseph, JoAnn, and Jayson Ray along with numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by Joseph and Damaris Ray.
A memorial service for Lynn will be held Thursday, December 9, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Victory Gospel Chapel, 1603 Montana St, San Antonio, TX 78203. Following the memorial service will be a committal service with air force honors from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at Ft. Sam Houston national Cemctery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd, San Antonio, TX 78209.
