I miss you my ex sister in law. Some day we’ll meet again. You are loved and will always be in our hearts.  I know you’re at the Lord’s feet in your Heavenly Kingdom. I’m working hard to make it, 99 and half won’t do, only a 100% effort in faith, a strong commitment to the Lord Thy God will do it in order to see you again my friend. Love you forever Sister In Law.

I actually never knew Lynn or met her. After attending her Memorial Service today, I felt that I had known her all of my life.

My wife and I are neighbors on the same street in Windcrest. We got to know Shondel first when walking our rescue dogs in the neighborhood park. 

In the providential and mysterious ways of God, there are many intersections in the pathways of the Franks and Dankof families, including Germany, The Army Air Corps and USAF, and the U. S. Army. The most significant of these is our mutual faith in the Triune God and our Lord Jesus Christ, and the knowledge that His resurrection and our faith in Him are the foundation of our future life in eternity in the Kingdom of God (Romans 10:9).

You‘re Cousin Lynn to me because of our age difference and because of the RESPECT I have for you. Because you lived far away I don’t have many memories but my mom ALWAYS talked about her “niece Lynn”. I do remember  you coming to New Jersey for the Hurley Family Reunion 2009. That felt GREAT! You came over to visit with me at my home before you left and I recall our conversation feeling very organic. You shared your wisdom and you shared the meatball recipe that you made for the meet and greet day. My son Niles loves those meatballs so much, ’til this day he still request those meatballs and they’re ALWAYS a hit! I am going to miss seeing your FB posts. You have a gift with your words; you always posted something that helped me stay encouraged. I‘m sharing a FB post of yours  I screenshot on January 30, 2020; it feels appropriate. May the family have a peaceful healing ♥️ Big Love 😘

I unfortunately did not have the pleasure to ever meet Lynn, I work with her brother Joe. Based on what Joe has told me, yours is a close family, Joe speaks glowingly about his family.
I wish I had had the pleasure to meet you, it would have been my honor to know you.

Just wanted to say I love you and I will see you again someday thanks for spending time with me teaching how to play bid wis and tonk and sharing the love of great food! Live everyday to the fullest leave it all on the field of life and you did that much love auntie

Sis. You have made it home and are dancing on those streets of gold!!  You robe is white and your crown is full of jewels representing the many lives you touched while here with us. Make sure you get me a spot on your block as I want to be able to rejoice with you again. The legacy of Family, Love, and serving others that you created and nurtured inside and outside of the church will never be forgotten. And my prayer is that what you sowed into us, we will continue to build on that foundation. I love you and Thank God for our serving  in ministry together, our Saturday morning  coffee and cake before shopping at Deichmanns or on the hauptstrasse for shoes. I know you have some cute ones on now.  So dance my sister dance!!

I was your hubbie’s Soldier, but you truly made me feel like part of your family! You never missed an opportunity throughout the years, miles apart, to send your prayers, thoughts, and love especially during the holidays and it made my day every single time! I am going to miss your sweet messages immensely, but I know your beautiful presence is even closer now and will forever shower and shine down on me and all those you inspired. You’re suffering no more and now dancing gracefully with our  Lord and Savior and knowing that, I will rejoice until we meet again.

My wife my lover and best friend  you gave me 41 loving ❤ Years. Through ups and downs.  Many miss  birthdays, anniversaries,  Thanksgiving s, and Christmases during my time in the military you kept the home fire burning 🔥. Through sickness and health you cared more about me than you. You  taught our children and grandchildren to believe in God and helped to  make me walk by Faith again 🙏 for our Lord and Savior JESUS CHRIST I thank you for that.

My Lynn. My middle  namesake, my Golden girl partner, my ride or die, my person.  We took to each other like gorilla glue.  Lynn with her quirky sense of humor always had a knack of getting a smile out of me even when we be lost due to her stupid GPS.  She was my sister.

Sister and friend forever! Taco shells and BQ sauce, hammock and no beans, experimental chicken. Everyone else is wondering what it all means. But I feel you doubling over in laughter. Put on your red dress! I love you Lynn Ellen Ray Franks.

Where do I begin? After knowing,  growing and learning from Lynn during the past 50 years. We meet as teenagers.  A lot of memories of the young girls we were to the woman warriors we became. It breaks my heart to even speak about what we shared because Lynn is not here to laugh and cry with me. She was a good person who loved fiercely, as a lioness should. She protected all within her realm and reach. To say she was a Queen doesn't do her justice.  She was my sister,  even though it wasn't by blood, but by any other standard you would not even know it. We experienced so much of life's trials and tribulations together.  I hope that she can give me heavenly guidance now. Thank you Lynn for being in my life.

Lynne you accepted me as a friend and part of the family as soon as I arrived in the USA. The world is all the poorer with out you in it.

Lynn, thank you for loving me unconditionally. Knowing you made a better person throughout the 51 years of history together. I knew you before I married into the  Ray Family. We’ve shared innumerable fond memories of laughter until our stomachs (bellies) almost bust! One fond memory I’ll share today is imprinted in my heart and your’s was “my” first chocolate cake I baked for the family. Taking cake from oven and  out the cake pan, dropped into pieces onto  kitchen counter because it was still too warm to remove from pan. You came to my rescue and said “no problem, we can fix with chocolate icing & toothpicks.” To this day, that chocolate cake has forever been declared “best cake ever” by family members, although, you and I knew the real story of how we got the cake to be edible. Our bond, through times good and challenging, strengthened our relationship as friends and ultimately, our  ownership as Sisters. I’ll miss our long talks on many topics; your smile, calming voice and, most of all, your spiritual joy loving Jesus. My heart is sad and missing your earthly presence but God’s plan was his will, not ours in wanting you here with us. I will see you again, through faith, and my love of Jesus as his words promise. Rest peacefully Sis for a  job well done! 

Wow, where do I begin?  You have been my ride-or-die best friend for over 30 years and we have been on SO MANY adventurous outings over 2 continents!    Even when we were in separate locations we remained close, but oh those phone bills!  Our kids grew up with bonus aunts in their lives, because we were just like family.   Our love knows no bounds, I will see you soon!

I remember traveling by train in Germany to visit Lynne and Erik Joe and I waited at the train station in the dark not even knowing if we got off at the right stop.  No one else was there.  Then Erik came and got us and they lived like right next to the station.  It was an adventure.

There are so many memories I have of you Aunty that I can’t settle on just one or two. The love you gave me always was felt and cherished. The love of Christ was the priority over all things and I did understand life’s challenges but you would always correct me and say What does the word of God say?  Wow answers flowed once I looked up the Bible and guided me through it.
