Luisa Rodriguez Castro

Luisa R. Castro age 67, passed away September 20, 2017. She was preceded in death by her parents, Josefina and Juan Rodriguez. Mrs. Castro is survived by her husband, Pedro S.Castro. Luisa's Family include; Daughters, Betty J Robles, Sandy R. Otero; Son, Ralph Otero; Sisters, Angelita Quintero, Margarita Coronado, Emilia Campa and Angelita Garza (dec); Brothers, Santiago Rodriguez, Seferino Rodriguez (dec), Juan Rodriguez, Ernesto Rodriguez (dec), Pedro Rodriguez, Joe Rodriguez, Isabel Rodriguez (dec) and Henry Rodriguez; Grandchildren; Amber, Sarah, Ashley, Miranda and David.

Luisa was loved beyond measure by her whole family and by her many, many friends. She was the heart and soul of her family and truly inspired those who surrounded her. Her acts of kindness are legendary. Few know that She and her husband Pedro looked after her brother Ernesto for 32 years. She did not regard this as sacrifice but rather as a duty that family should be there for each other. In addition to a 25 year nursing career, Luisa loved the outdoors life. Fishing, BBQ's, the beach and the sea, the swimming pool and family projects! She led a full and loving life and she will be sorely missed by all of us.

The Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm. to 9:00 pm. Monday, September 25, 2017 at Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Rd. with a Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. The Procession will depart from the funeral home on Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at 9:30 a.m. for a 10:00 a.m. Mass at Iglesia Solo Cristo Church, 112 North San Horacio Avenue. Interment will follow in First Memorial Park Cemetery.
