Luis “Gino” Garces entered eternal rest on November 30, 2015 at the age of 23. He was born in Brownsville, TX to Reynaldo and Adelita Garces on May 16, 1992, and now reunites with maternal grandmother, Catalina Aleman; paternal grandparents, Victoriano Garces and Maria De Jesus; and aunt Blanca Muraira. He is survived by his loving parents, Reynaldo and Adelita Garces; siblings: Begonia Martinez, Irma Silva, Mario Garces, Melissa Ehlert, Brenda Tharpe; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Gino was a 2010 graduate of Jefferson High School. While in high school, Gino was in ROTC, where his passion to serve his country arose. After graduation, Gino enlisted in the United States Marine Corp where he honorably served in operation enduring Freedom, Afghanistan; and was recipient of: the Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, and Expert Rifle Qualification Badge. Gino had an infectious spirit that would brighten anyone’s day and took every opportunity possible to help others. He took pride in staying fit and giving good advice to those whom needed it. Gino was a loving and caring son, brother, uncle, friend, and mentor, who will be missed dearly by all the lives he touched. The family will be receiving guests at the funeral home on Monday, December 7, 2015 at 5:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. Prayer service. Visitation will continue on Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at 8:30 a.m. at Central Christian Church, 720 N. Main Avenue, with a 9:30 a.m. service. Interment will follow in Ft.
