Lucy Guerrero Gonzalez, born on March 10, 1932, went to be with the Lord on September 20, 2016 at the age of 84. She is preceded in death by her parents, Maximino and Maria Guerrero; siblings, Consuelo, Rogelio, Margarita, and Maximino Jr. She is survived by her husband, 1SG Ignacio B Gonzalez; children, Patricia Ann, Mariza, Ignacio Jr. (Lilliana), Christopher Anthony (Camille N. Schober-Gonzalez); grandchildren, Jason C. Munoz, Adriana P. Munoz, Alexcia N. Chamberlain, Lauren Paige McKinley, Gabriela L. Gonzalez, Anahi L. Gonzalez, Anthony Gerard Gonzalez, Maximino Salbador Gonzalez; 4 great-grandchildren; siblings, Connie Kinsey, and Ray Guerrero. She is also survived by Sofia Morales, Lily Morales, and other family members and friends.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at Sunset Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that evening. A procession will depart the funeral home on Wednesday, September 28, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. for a 11:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Peter Prince of the Apostles Catholic Church, 111 Barilla Pl. San Antonio, TX 78209. Committal service will follow in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery at 1:00 p.m.
